Duties and Statement of Purpose
The Membership Committee is responsible for encouraging membership and member involvement in the Greenmeadow Community Association (GMCA).
- Oversees the annual membership drive and works to ensure that membership targets are met
- Makes welcome visits to new residents
- Writes new resident profiles that are published in the Meadowlark and a member news column that appears regularly in the Meadowlark
- Generates ideas for recruiting new members, including preparing brochures promoting the benefits of membership and distributing them throughout Palo Alto
- Settles questions members may have regarding membership rules and rights, based on GMCA by-laws and established guidelines approved by the GMCA Board
- Schedules events that enable both new and established residents to meet others in the Greenmeadow community, including the annual Holiday Open House that enables members to thank GMCA Board members for their service and to socialize with their neighbors.
