We have set up several email distribution lists using Yahoo! Groups. This will give us the ability to exchange email messages with our neighbors to discuss topics of interest within Greenmeadow.
How does it work?
To send an email message to the discussion group, for example, just address your email to:
gmca-discuss@yahoogroups.com .
Your message will then be forwarded to the email addresses of all the members of the group.
What sort of topics
can we discuss?
Anything pertaining to Greenmeadow, the community association, Eichlers, or the neighborhood.
What if someone tries
to send something that is “off-topic”?
This group is moderated, which means, every message is approved before it is sent to the group as a whole.
Who can join the
list?
Anyone who is a resident of Greenmeadow or who is a member of the Greenmeadow Community Association (including associate members).
How do I subscribe?
To join the group, send an email to:
gmca-discuss-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
In the body of the email include your name and address so we can verify your eligibility to join.
What if I change my
mind. Can I remove myself from the list?
Yes, just send an email to
gmca-discuss-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
What if I only want
to receive official announcements from GMCA?
In that case there is another list for that purpose. To subscribe to that list, send an email to:
gmca-announce-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
and to unsubscribe, send to
gmca-announce-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
Note: If you gave your email address on your GMCA membership application and you checked the box saying you wanted to receive email announcements from Greenmeadow, then you will automatically be subscribed.
What about Penny’s
civic affairs email list?
That list will also be converted to Yahoo! groups. This means you can subscribe and unsubscribe automatically. The details will be available on the Greenmeadow web site.
